Inside Voice

September 9, 2011

by Glenis Redmond

Down the dark tunnel of throat
in the threaded jungle of larynx,
what if what is waiting is not a humble

of a crow perched on the breath,
not with a small cry
but a crimson song
filling the hush of the horizon
with lungs flared in full wing.
