Three Times
November 6, 2006
Three times,
she came to me. The first
was only a whisper.
It left me trembling like leaves.
The second
was a tsunami, gushing in
then away again,
leaving parts of me in ruins.
The third brought
chaos,
pain,
joy.
This time,
she stayed, gave me
new eyes.

Amazing words and photo! (The link to Moira’s blog doesn’t work, editors.)
I have known few with eyes more open. Powerful.
So succinct, and so on point. Beautifully rendered.
(Sorry about the non-functioning link. It’s fixed now.)
Marvellous.
even though i’m one of the guest editors, i just have to say that i love the inclusion of the red fallen leaf against the background of the sage greens. the picture and poem resonate one another so beautifully.
