Purple Moment
July 8, 2006
A dream I had not half an hour ago:
“I like yellow,” she said. “It makes me happy. But now it’s a purple moment.”
I agreed. Purple moment.
Just then a hospital gurney started to roll down the cobbled street.
We ran down after it, but it gathered speed and at the bottom it turned over, ejecting a huge man in a red shirt.

Lovely, especially the colours! Interesting how many of these short shorts are both beautiful and disturbing at the same time.
Some lines from Gabriela Mistral, which I just encountered:
“I have an abiding bliss
and a lost fortune,
I am rich with purple
and with melancholy.”
Such an ambiguous color, purple.
