I got familiar with Man Ray’s work only pretty recently, and I love the reference you’ve made to it: “Nude with Rash” immediately summons one of my favorite Man Ray images (Le Violon d’Ingres), but also creates such a stark template onto which we project so many familiar things. Plus: it’s funny. Love it.
