    For me, these types of creeks in northern landscapes do not necessarily instill brooding, but introspection and a type of serenity not always available in other climes. I love this photo on a hot July day and think of Clearwater Lake in Delta Junction, Alaska, and other places in Michigan over the years I still lived in my native state. Thanks.

    It looks like somethig massive is trying to crawl out of the lake. The snow closest to the foreground especially looks like a paw of the creature.
